Withthe digital adaptor mo-can which is simplyplugged into this connector, instrumentsof the Motoscope series are linked directlyto the digital data bus of the motorcycle.The installation and connection of sensorsfor speed and tach is not necessaryanymore. Now this data is read directlyfrom the diagnostic interface. The powersupply of the instruments is also fed bythe OBD interface. With this adaptor it’spossible to connect a ‘motoscope mini ‘without any other connection work onthe motorcycle. Also the signal for theMIL (Malfunction Indicator Light) fortrouble codes from engine and peripherycan be indicated by connection of a LED/ warning lamp. A complete exchange ofthe original instruments is possible andalso customizing of the latest models isan option without reducing operationalsafety. The mo-can is only a tiny, fullymolded box, an OBD plug and a longconnecting lead to the instrument. Itis resistant to vibrations and water.Operation is guaranteed up to under5 V of on-board voltage and thereforecorresponds to all SAE specifications formotorcycles.
